teve Saleen is a legend in the automotive community, owing to his racing success
in the Trans Am series, open-wheel racing, and a little-known division of SCCA
called the RaceTruck Challenge. It was here that Saleen trotted out the very first
Sportruck, a machine based on the first-generation Ford Ranger compact pickup.Saleen won five of six races in the series, and Ford began selling Sportruck-ized versions of
the Ranger right off the showroom floor.
