Ledbury Poetry Festival
POETRY COMPETITION
A prize of £1,000 (approximately
$1,300); a course at Ty Newydd, the
National Writing Centre of Wales;
and publication on the Ledbury Poetry
Festival website is given annually for
a poem. The winner is also invited to
read at the Ledbury Poetry Festival in
Ledbury, England, in July 2020; travel
expenses are not included. Daljit Nagra
will judge. Submit a poem of up to 40
lines with a £5 entry fee (approximately
$7), and £3.50 (approximately $5) for

Leeway Foundation
ART AND CHANGE GRANTS
Project grants of up to $2,500 each are
given twice yearly to women and trans-
sexual, transgender, genderqueer, or
otherwise gender-nonconforming poets,
fiction writers, and creative nonfiction
writers in the Delaware Valley region
to fund art for social change projects.
Writers living in Bucks, Camden,
Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or
Philadelphia counties who are 18 years
of age or older and who are not full-
time students in a degree-granting arts
program are eligible. Applicants must
identify a person, an organization, or a
business as a partner for their project.

Masters Review
SHORT STORY AWARD FOR NEW WRITERS
A prize of $3,000 and publication
in Masters Review is given twice yearly
for a short story by a writer who has
not published a novel (writers who have
published story collections are eligible).
The winning story will also be sent to
agents Victoria Cappello from the Bent
Agency, Sarah Fuentes from Fletcher &
Company, Andrea Morrison from Writ-
ers House, and Nat Sobel from Sobel

New Millennium Writings
NEW MILLENNIUM AWARDS
Four prizes of $1,000 each and publica-
tion in New Millennium Writings and on
the journal’s website are given twice
yearly for a poem, a short story, a short
short story, and an essay that have not
appeared in a print publication with a
circulation over 5,000. Submit up to
three poems totaling no more than five
pages, a short short story of up to 1,000
words, or a story or essay of up to 7,499
words with a $20 entry fee by July 31.
