(Frankie) #1
New York-based make-up artist
Hung Vanngo has collaborated
with legendary photographers such
as Ellen von Unwerth as well as
enhanced the faces of A-Listers such
as Jennifer Lawrence and Gwyneth
Paltrow. Having worked with this
month’s cover star Julianne Moore
‘many times’ already, Hung wasn’t
starstruck when he turned up for
the shoot – although, he admits, ‘I
was so excited I got to her place 45
minutes early and had to wait in a
coffee shop until the call time.’

This issue, Frederica – who’s worked
with Hollywood stylists Kate
Young and Samantha McMillen

  • styled both Vanessa Branson at
home on Eilean Shona, and Clare
Conway’s week in the life of a
    super-rich renter. The latter meant
‘no holding back on colour, print
and jewels, which I loved,’ she says.
    In total contrast, Branson’s Scottish
island shoot was quite the adventure

  • ‘we were caught in a hailstorm in a
    dinghy, heading to the beach.’

As Managing Editor, Louisa Parker
Bowles keeps Tatler ticking over
every month, and this issue marks
her first anniversary at the magazine.
One year in, she says, ‘I still get
excited every month when the new
issue lands. I always think each one
is my favourite, but the July issue
really is the perfect mix of fashion,
features, glamour and gossip.’

Tatler’s Contributing Beauty Editor,
Amelia Liana, is a beauty and lifestyle
influencer with a million followers
and counting across her social-
media platforms. She’s come a long
way since her first blog review of
Soleil Tan de Chanel. In this issue,
she writes about the highs and lows
of being Instafamous. ‘Remembering
all the places that I’ve visited brought
back the best memories and made
me sit and reflect – a rare occurrence
in this fast-paced industry.’

JACK WATERLOT
Julianne Moore. ‘Shooting with
her was a dream,’ he recalls. ‘In this
cover story we played with Julianne’s
inner character and “who” she’d like
to be – and it ended up being a lot
of fun.’

Paris-born and New York-based
Jack Waterlot is one of the most
sought-after contemporary fashion
photographers. He’s worked with
Vogue, GQ, Tom Ford and Gucci.
This month he shot our cover star,
