You’ll use the trays overnight for
two weeks then go back for an
hour-long appointment at the
clinic, where the application of a
turbo-charged bleaching agent
gives maximum gleam.
Pain factor There’s little of the
sensitivity often associated with
teeth bleaching, thanks to the pre-
treatment desensitising swab. The
whitening agent is lower in acidity
than most, so you can wear the
trays for longer without irritation.
Downtime Two weeks is the mini-
mum recommended treatment
time, during which you should
avoid black tea, coffee and anything
containing turmeric or saffron. For
more stubborn cases, a second round,
following the in-clinic treatment,
can work miracles.
Results Teeth are so pearly you
won’t be able to stop smiling, but
for ultimate whiteness book in for
an initial deep-clean with the hy-
gienist, then do a final session the
night before the wedding.

ONE MONTH: SMOOTH
DÉCOLLETÉS
What EGF Skin Boosters with
Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh
The low-down EGF stands for
epidermal growth factor, and Dr
Sebagh is putting its regenerating
abilities to excellent use in his new
skin-needling treatment. His EGF
Skin Boosters works wonders on
crêpey necks and chests, or skin
that has been exposed to too much
sun. That’s because the growth fac-
tor (derived from biotechnology in
Korea, so it’s completely natural)
spurs the renewal of skin cells. It’s
mixed with a bespoke cocktail of
hyaluronic acid, vitamins and min-
erals (to brighten, hydrate or reduce
pigmentation) and administered
with a meso-gun (a rapid-fire in-
jecting device that ensures skin is
thoroughly covered).
Pain factor Hardly any – the meso-
gun is mostly painless, though it can
sting on the lips. Numbing cream
is an option but not a necessity.
Downtime Again, relatively little.
At worst, the décolleté might show
a few tiny scratches, which will fade
in the coming days.
Results Immediately the skin looks
plumper, though one week later is
when you’ll really notice a new-
found glow.

ONE WEEK: TIGHTEN
AND BRIGHTEN
What Hydrafirm with Dr Kersh
The low-down For a tightening fix,
Dr Kersh’s signature Hydrafirm – a
three-pronged combination de-
signed to return lost spring to
slackening skin – can’t be beaten.
Block out two hours in your diary
because it’s quite the performance:
a deep-cleaning, pore-tightening
HydraFacial; followed by a warm
blast of collagen-boosting BTL
Exilis radiofrequency; then, a final
bout of skin-brightening meso-
therapy (a skin-needling flurry,
which drives vitamins and minerals
deep into the dermis). In between,
there are cooling masks and creams
to restore calm and order to the skin.
Pain factor The HydraFacial is
brisk and invigorating, the Exilis
veers from warm to hot (which is
key, as skin needs to reach 40°C in
order to stimulate new collagen).
The mesotherapy sounds like a
machine gun rattling across the
face, but is nothing more than a
light ‘flicking’ sensation.
Downtime The tiniest bit of flush-
ing (which actually looks rather
becoming). Otherwise, a quick spell
beneath the healing LED lights will
leave you and your skin aglow.
Results For once, total rejuvenation
isn’t an overstatement: one session
brings fuller-looking cheeks, a
shapelier jawline and noticeably
plumper skin. A course of three
sessions, one month apart, will have
you reaping the rewards long past
your honeymoon.

ONE DAY: GET
SKIN GLOWING
What Oxygen Fusion Facial
The low-down S-Thetics founder
Sherina Balaratnam has done some-
thing rather clever with her new
facial. By adding manual lymphatic
drainage (MLD) to some hi-tech
treatments, she can dissolve tension
in the tissues and drain puffiness
all before she’s even switched on a
machine. Twenty minutes of back
massage starts to loosen tight neck
muscles and gets circulation flowing,
then you flip over for the whizzy
part. First up is the HydraFacial to
cleanse and exfoliate, and that’s fol-
lowed by the Intraceuticals treat-
ment, which delivers invigorating,
pressurised oxygen to the skin to
plump and revive.
Pain factor The HydraFacial feels
a little scratchy as it works across
the face, while the Intraceuticals is
cold and at times ticklish. The mas-
sage, unsurprisingly, is a delight.
Downtime None whatsoever – in
fact, skin has never felt so good.
Results The complexion is imme-
diately dewy, with cheekbones
chiselled and under-eyes noticeably
smoother. Book a trial six weeks
before the big day to make sure
skin behaves well, and then again
for the night before. You’ll wake up
positively beaming.
