Nevada Desert debauchery came to the South

Downs for a night as Monty Pearson celebrated

his 22nd birthday with a Burning Man-themed

party at home at Cowdray. The theme was inter-

preted in a whirl of sequins, glitter and bare flesh,

with Kitty Alexander’s dalmatian-print coat leading

the best-dressed stakes. Canapés were on the

terrace and dinner on long tables in Buck Hall,

after which came a spontaneous performance

from Monty’s sister Catty, who leapt up to join

the band. The crowd then danced into the early

hours in the aptly named Morning Room.
