recognition you get for doing
this. To the Weekly, your photos
of her show a happy and
confident woman − who’s
ageing gracefully! − enjoying
being herself and a grandma.
I wish her even more success
in her career and family life.
All the best.

Congratulations, Kerre
Your article Kerre’s Walking
on Air (22.07.19) is an awesome
read. I am so happy to read
about my favourite columnist
in your beautiful magazine
as she always gives me a
laugh with her columns. Her
infectious smile really radiates
and I’m glad she’s been able
to rise to the challenge of her
new job as a host for Newstalk
ZB, replacing Leighton Smith.
Congratulations
on a job well done
Kerre, especially
given your bosses
thought the show
may fail a bit at
first – you’ve proved
them wrong and
increased listeners!
You really do
deserve all the

Blooming good read
Thank you so much for your
Prince Charles story, Inside
his Highgrove Hideaway
(15.07.19). I enjoyed it
immensely. I went on a
gardening tour in 1997
and was scheduled to visit
Highgrove, but sadly for
us this got cancelled. I so
wanted to experience The
Stumpery for photos I had
seen of it brought out the
child in me. We went to
visit garden guru Rosemary
Verey’s home instead. She’s
my favourite gardening
author and she was the
most welcoming lady you
could ever hope to meet
so I wasn’t surprised to
read that she had helped
Charles. I copied a sign she
has in her garden that says:
“There is great beauty
in old trees
Old streets and ruins
Why should not I
As well as thee
Grow lovely growing old.”
