Individuals and businesses who champion a

more gender-equal workplace and society were

recognised at the Singapore Committee for UN

Women’s annual HeForShe Impact Awards

luncheon. Georgette Tan, the committee’s

President, and European Union Ambassador to

Singapore Barbara Plinkert together presented

the HeForShe@Work award to two companies,

Blackrock and AXA; the HeForShe Leader

award to Sumit Behl, Chief Financial Offi cer of

Aviva Singapore; and the HeForShe Infl uencer

award to Christine Rumble, Chief Talent and

Culture Offi cer at AccorHotels Asia Pacifi c.

Another highlight of the afternoon was the

fi reside chat with guest of honour Ho Kwon

Ping, Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree

Holdings, moderated by news anchor and TV

host Haslinda Amin. Ho shared his no-holds-

barred views on why gender diversity and

equality is crucial in today’s workplace during

the conversation, which was live-streamed and

can still be viewed on the Singapore Committee

for UN Women’s Facebook page.
