the Month

Andy Wilson sends this picture of a

pair of shunters. “This hard-worked

ex-Sainsbury’s Foden 4000 has now

been replaced by the Renault Magnum

for shunting trailers at the Timb-a-Haul

yard, just north of Norwich. Not sure if

I would like to jump in and out of a

Magnum many times a day!”

A Magnum certainly is an unusual

choice for a shunter. The good thing

about it though is that you could hide

in the cab for a sneaky nap after lunch;

you would almost certainly be noticed

trying that in the Foden...
