AIR ARMS PRO-SPORT

landing away from the desired point of
impact. The converse of this is as simple as
those of us who discovered it; use the least
muscular tension you can, and it will be
much easier to repeat, shot after shot.
Low-tension shooting is far more enjoyable,
too, and its rewards will appear on your
happy, relaxed face, as well as on your
ever-more-impressive targets.

The internal aluminium chassis and everything it supports is masked when the cocking lever is closed.

Lever, link and pivot block. Note the little button that deactivates the internal
anti-beartrap mechanism when the cocking lever is returned.

Fore end flutes - elegant and practical, just like the rifle itself.

That rosewood cap
finishes things
with a flourish.

VERDICT
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that the
Air Arms Pro-Sport is exactly what its
inventor, Ken Turner, said it was all those
years ago. It is, indeed, ‘something special’,
and its enduring success says more about it
than any review ever could. The Pro-Sport

is that matchless mix of style, quality and
performance that takes it to the very top of
the pastime for which it was designed. I’ve
said elsewhere in this issue that all
airgunners should own a spring-piston rifle;
I’ll now refine that by saying all airgunners
should own an Air Arms Pro-Sport.
