Whatever adjectival qualifier they use, everyone in Kiev is sure they have witnessed a revolution: electoral,
populist, socialist, libertarian or, in the opinion of the more excited, Bolshevik.


Never before has the country switched to the command of one person. Not even Viktor Yanukovych, the
disgraced former president who tried to build a dictatorship before being overthrown, managed it. Mr
