I recentlyboughta dieset
where all the dies are attached
together, and in the process of
cutting them apart with wire
cutters, I accidentally bent one
of the dies. Help!
Ah –very easily done, but also
very easy to x! Simply run the
squi y die through your die
cutting machine to flatten.
I love scrapbooking, but I'm
tired of always matting and
layering my photos to add
interest. Do you have any other
ideas for how I can display
photos?
How about using
adhesive photo
corners? They are
the ideal way to add
a nishing touch
to your photos.
Dovecra have a
fantastic (and a orda )
range, including on-trend
rose gold, which you can pick
up in places like The Works
or The Range. Or, how about
using polaroid frames in your
scrapbooking? They are made
from quality cardstock, so they
won't warp over time. There
are loads to choose from, but
here at Papercra inspirations
we love these iridescent photo
frames from Dovecra !

Q
I've seen that Cra er's
Companion have produced
some double-sided box dies. Can
you explain how these dies work?
A
Cra er's Companion
double-sided dies work
by having the cutting element
on both sides of the one die.
Normally, dies have one cutting
side and one flat side, and you
would place the die face down
onto your card and run through
your die-cutting machine. With
Quick Fixes
ASK THE EXPERTS A
1
Choose two pieces of card, one
for the lid and one for the base.
Run through your machine as
follows: Base plate, special plate,
piece of card, double-sided die,
second piece of card, special plate,
normal plate.
2
The die will cut two nesting
boxes, so using your bone
folder, fold and burnish all the
score lines on the two lids and the
two bases. Place glue on the tabs,
and glue into place to secure the
box shapes.
3
Fit the lids over the boxes.
They will fit perfectly, and
you're done! All that's left is to
decorate your boxes. Make sure
you keep the decoration on the
smaller box flat, so that it sits
inside the larger box.
these double-sided box dies,
you place a piece of card on
the bottom, then the die, then
another piece of card on top. This
gives you the box lid AND the box
base in just one pass through
your machine. The dies have
been specially engineered so
that you get a perfectly tting lid
for your box, every single time,
even the score lines are added.
