airBaltic and airmalta have expanded their codeshare partnership,
covering additional routes via Malta, Riga and Talinn. The codeshare
routes listed below went into effect since 02Apr19 or earlier.:

Riga – Zurich, Tallinn – Berlin Tegel, Tallinn – Brussels, Tallinn –

Air Mauritius [MK/MAU] [Mauritius] planned to fly to Mahe,
Seychelles, in July 2019, after stopping flights more than 15 years ago
due to economic reasons.
The carrier has taken delivery of its first A330-900neo, 3B-NBU
(1884) named ‘Aoprauani Ghat’, leased from ALC.
Air Mauritius is the official carrier for Indian Ocean Island Games
(IOIG) 2019 and may include IOIG logo on some aircraft.Air Moldova [9U] [Moldova] has again released Airbus A321 services,
which saw the leased aircraft joining the airline’s service from mid-May- The airline previously leased Airbus A321 aircraft in early-
January 2016.

Air New Zealand [NZ/ANZ] [New Zealand] losses in China are well in
excess of US$66 million after 13 years of being in the market, says
chief executive Christopher Luxon.
Air New Zealand is selecting aircraft from Boeing for its widebody
order to replace its fleet of eight B777-200ERs.

From July 2019 Air France launched a codeshare partnership with
Atlantic Airways Faroe Islands, as the latter commenced serviced to
Paris CDG. The codeshare service from 01Jul19 covers the following.

Air India [AI/AIC] [India] has a total debt of US$8.4 billion as on
31Mar2019, says the Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The
airline has sought the government’s approval to borrow US$344.1
million from the National Small Savings Fund, a pool of small savings
from households, to meet its working capital requirements.
Air India is expected to post its highest ever annual loss in the
recently concluded fiscal year 2019 and could break even at a net level
in fiscal 2020.
Air India is likely to get all its 17 grounded aircraft, including three
B777s and two B787s, back into operation by September 2019; two of
them were expected to join the operating fleet as soon as June.
Air India plans Mumbai – Nairobi flights in September 2019 with
B787-8.
It plans to expand its network by adding destinations like Hong
Kong and Bali by October 2019.
Air India will either add frequency of its US nonstops or serve a
new destination in North America like Toronto or Los Angeles on its
network, once the B777s are back in action.
Air Italy [IG/ISS] [Italy] has abandoned plans to introduce the B787s
into its fleet due to the delay in Dreamliner deliveries. The carrier will
instead expand with A330s in 2019-20, on lease from Qatar Airways.
Airbus narrowbodies are also being considered, including the A220.
Air Italy will cease winter 2019 services to Los Angeles, San
Francisco & Toronto in favour of services to Maldives, Mombasa,
Tenerife & Zanzibar.
