Avation PLC Finance Director Richard Wolanski says the company
aims to double its fleet in the next seven years, as it is growing at a
faster rate than its larger rivals.
The company has acquired and leased its sixth and final new A220-
300 to airBaltic (Latvia). The 12-year lease for serial 55053 commenced
on 15May19.
Avation PLC has completed the acquisition of a B737-800 from
another lessor. The aircraft, which is approximately nine years old, is
on lease to Garuda Indonesia.
Avation PLC has delivered a new ATR72-600 to Cebu Pacific Air

Facility Agent and Security Trustee for the commercial financing of this

lease to the carrier. The second aircraft is scheduled for delivery in

begun, as the middle section of the aircraft’s fuselage rolled off the

an additional 70 A320neos. The order is valued at US$2.06 billion at list

Avolon ended 1Q19 with an owned and managed fleet of 553
aircraft, with total orders and commitments for 398 new aircraft. It
also executed a total of eight leases, delivered a total of 12 new

Airbus achieved orders for 363 commercial aircraft, comprising 149
firm orders and 214 commitments, at the Paris Air Show. It launched
the A321XLR there, which brings 30% lower fuel burn per seat than
previous-generation competitor aircraft. Starting from 2023, the
aircraft will deliver an extra long range of up to 4,700nm – 15% more
than the A321LR and with the same fuel efficiency. An early potential
customer is Indigo Partners of the US.
Airbus and AFI KLM E&M have agreed a technical and commercial
partnership to co-develop and manage a virtual engine run-up A320
maintenance PC-based training solution.
Airbus has announced an order for 10 A220s from an undisclosed
customer, as well as another order for 20 A321XLRs, also from an

now be offering increased range starting from 2H20. The A220 aircraft

Airbus Canada Limited Partnership is the new name of CSALP
(Canada) and became effective from 01Jun19. The partnership is
adopting the Airbus logo as its single visual identity.
Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury says, while responding to the recent
grounding of Jet Airways, that Indian airlines should become positively
competitive to make the country’s aviation market sustainable in the
long term.
Airbus expects to earn more than US$10 billion in services revenue
over the next decade, as it predicts that the value of the aircraft
services market over the next 20 years will be nearly equal to the value
of new aircraft sales.
Airbus’ founding father, Roger Beteille, passed away at the age of

Airbus has rejected claims it has shifted position over the UK’s exit
from the EU after an article suggested its stance on Brexit may have
changed.
The carrier has written to airline leaders to appeal for their backing
in a trade dispute with rival Boeing, warning of higher aircraft prices
and passenger fares should the US and EU descend into a tariff war. It
held out the prospect of a clash over prices to counter any decision by

reduce capital expenditure by approximately US$670 million for 2019

It has also reached an agreement with Boeing to postpone the
