any build lowriders with the sole intention to stunt and show, but for
Orlando Saldana Sr. his truck was purpose built with one goal in mind: to
glorify the relationship he has with his wife. He sums it up best when he
says, “My trophy is cruising my neighborhood with my wife by my side.”
The truck, which he calls “Loco ’53,” is a '53 Chevy 3100 that he acquired some time ago.
As with many of our own projects, his 3100 took a backseat to raising a family, but after 13
years of sitting it was treated to a full frame-off restoration featuring a Hoppo’s setup and
a set of Truerays. But even more important than the car itself is the company he keeps.
Now that his children are grown (and have rides of their own), lowriding has become a
family affair in which they all cruise in style. Head over to https://www.lowrider.com/

camp makes lowriding a central part of their family affairs. LR
