f. Add two, 3¼" medium floral triangles
as before to complete unit.
g. Trim unit adding ¼" seam allowance
on all sides.
h. Unit should measure 4½" square,

- Make four Template C in total.
11a. Arrange units in three rows of three
units.
b. Take first two units in top row and
insert pins at both end points at corners
of paper pattern, checking pins come out
at same point on reverse.
c. Pin units together at mid point in same
way, illust. 5a.
d. Stitch along very edge of paper
patterns, illust. 5b.
e. Join units together in rows.
12a. Press seams for top and bottom
rows towards centre unit and middle row
away from centre square.
b. Join rows together.
c. Carefully remove papers and press
block from front.
d. Block should measure 12½" square,
illust. 7.

To help with aligning centre block, insert
one pin to line up points and then pin
each side of centre. Remove centre pin
before stitching seam, illust. 6.
EDITOR'S TIP
Pin rows together as best you can.
Increase stitch length and stitch seam
only where you have points to match,
lifting and lowering needle to take you to
next point without breaking your thread.
Open out pieces to check points match.
If they match nicely, reduce stitch length
again and stitch whole seam.
