It's the indigenous population that is hit

main trail, following tire tracks that lead us to
a pivotal turn, complete with a big sign that
read 'Parque National Llullaillaco'.
The volcano had been visible in all its
glory for a few kilometres. We stopped at
the entrance of the National Park to take
pictures. It really does look mighty. No,

Getting There
The enourmous Pacific Ocean
may seperate Australia and Chile
but it's virtually a straight line. Most
flights out of Sydney will include
a stop in New Zealand before
continuing on. Durations range
from 15 to 18 hours.
Qantas are one such airline
that can fly you there. It is best to
do some research beforehand
about transportation though
if you intend to bring your own
bike across with you.
