WORST HEARTBREAK CURTIS DUMPS AMY
They were the villa’s first
golden couple. So fans could
see Amy’s heart break when
her “half-boyfriend” Curtis
returned from a few days away
in Casa Amor... only to tell her
that their relationship was
missing a spark.
Amy had been planning to
confess her love for the dancer
and left the villa in devastation
just a few days later. Viewers
broke out in sympathy, with
#OhAmy trending on Twitter.

BIGGEST FIGHT ANNA TACKLES JORDAN
When Anna found out that
Jordan had been flirting
with new girl India – just a
few days after making their
relationship official – she
was furious.
The pharmacist stormed
over to the pair while they
were chatting and
screamed: “What kind of
guy asks a girl to be their
girlfriend and two days later
they crack on with f***ing
another girl?!”

THE LOVE TRIANGLE MICHAEL, AMBER AND JOANNA
No series is complete without a love
triangle. And when Michael ditched
Amber for Joanna, it was clear there was
some unfinished business between the
former couple.
Not only did Michael’s heart race fastest
for Amber in the lap dancing challenge, he
also refused to leave when Joanna was
voted off the show.
Despite denying his feelings for Amber,
the firefighter later tried to couple up with
her again and, when she refused, decided
to rekindle his relationship with Joanna on
the outside world. Confused yet?

From riding each
other like horses to
confessing their
“love” for one
another, Curtis and
Tommy were
inseparable
throughout and
are perhaps the show’s
closest couple.
Curtis said: “Tommy
and I have a bromance.
I think we have kissed
four times.”

GOBBY
Tom puts
foot in it
Tom and Maura were
poised to spend the
night together in the
hideaway, before Tom
joked to the boys:
“Let’s see if she’s all
mouth.” Unbeknown
to him, Maura was
actually behind him.
Viewers were stunned
and, needless to say,
Tom and Maura’s
relationship ended
soon after.
BIGGEST CRINGE
He made no secret of his love
of having a smooth backside
- even admitting to getting
his mum to shave it when he
was at home. So, in the
villa, Anton was determined
to find somebody to ass-ume
the role.
The honour was given to
his new love Belle, who
accepted the gruesome job
with surprising grace – and
cheekily even got her friend,
Jourdan, to help out.

MOST DISGUSTING MOMENT
Anton gave his phone
number to a Spanish
shop assistant in one of
the challenges. And when
his partner, Belle, found
out she certainly
considered checking out
of their relationship.

EXAMPLE Mesut Ozil
Sensible Ozil is
who we should
be applauding
‘‘There is no
shame at all
in placing
personal safety
above property
A WEEK ago a close friend
had their family car stolen
from outside their house.
My first thought was not
anger at the thieves for striking
as they slept. Or even frustra-
tion at the inconvenience they
will now suffer as a result.
It was relief that they hadn’t
disturbed the robbers.
To the thugs who couldn’t
care less these days, life is so
cheap. Too cheap.
It is the reason why praise
for the Arsenal footballer Sead
Kolasinac, who took on two
knife-wielding thugs during an
attempted robbery last week,
sits so uneasily.
As do the calls to make him
captain of the club for standing his
ground then chasing the would-be
attackers while his team-mate Mesut
Ozil fled to a nearby shop.
Ozil did the kind of thing we as parents
advise our children to do when faced
with the kind of confrontation all too
prevalent in today’s society. He made a
sharp exit.
Kolasinac did what we now tell our
kids never to do. On so many occasions
these days teenagers are being robbed at
knifepoint for their phones
or trainers.
There is no shame whatso-
ever in placing personal safety
above property, however
expensive. Not when 84 people
have been killed in London –
an unprecedented number –
since the start of 2019.
Clearly Kolasinac managed
to establish that his assailants
didn’t have the gumption to
use their weapons.
But what if they had? What
if they’d struck him? What if
his actions had put him in a
situation like that of tragic
Garry Newlove, beaten to
death by several assailants
after reprimanding them for
vandalising cars outside his
home in Cheshire 12 years ago?
Newlove’s bravery ended up as a stark
reminder that trying to uphold tradi-
tional values these days all too often ends
in tears that can last a lifetime.
Scandalously, two of the culprits have
been referred to the Parole Board to
consider their release – just 11 years after
they were jailed for life.
Garry’s widow Helen and her family
continue to serve a life sentence.
There really is no justice.

Oluwole Isesanmi, a Christian street preacher treated
disgracefully by police in February, has been offered £2,
in compensation. Officers arrested him, hurled his Bible into a
police car and dumped him four miles away with no money to get
home. They’ll have to do better than £2,500.

DARREN LEWIS
THAT’S PLANE DISGUSTING
If you haven’t already had your breakfast, or
even lunch, then save this bit for later.
Naomi Campbell went viral on social media
with her pre-take-off Dettol wipes routine on
board a flight a fortnight ago. My how they
laughed.
Since then former cabin crew member Kate
Leahy has revealed tales of burst colostomy
bags, soaked seats and time for only a quick
wipe down before the next flight.
Another passenger, she says, vomited over
tray tables and on the floor. Again, according
to Kate, staff could only “throw wipes and
blankets at the problem”.
Her horror stories also include
recollections of bogies being wiped on arm
rests and “that time I found a verruca
between the seats”.
A study last year by the Canadian
Broadcasting Corporation found that
headrests were riddled with staphylococcus
and E-Coli. If you haven’t already been away
on holiday, you’ll find Campbell’s video
very useful.
