You are spending too much
time worrying about what other
people think of you or expect of
you. Ask yourself: is this the place
you want to be? Do what you want
to do. If you crave excitement,
introduce new activities into your
days that might perk up your life
and boost long-term interests.
A partner wants to air
some grievances. Their claims are
greatly exaggerated. If there is
conflict in the family, be careful
about taking sides. Sometimes it is
better to sit on the fence. Keep a
demanding neighbour at arm’s
length. No matter what you do for
them, they will never be satisfied.
It will be tempting to give in
to the whims of loved ones or
children, but their ideas for
entertainment could be costly. Are
you single? Someone who has
eyes for you feels shy about
showing interest. It may be up to
you to make the first move or you
could both miss out.
You’ve been generous and
helpful towards a partner. You
never expect a lot back and you’re
upset as he or she has let you
down today. If this has happened
before, you need to think about
whether this relationship really
works for you. You may not be as
compatible as you first thought.
You’re always splashing out
on luxury items for others but
settling for second best for
yourself. It is time to change this
and treat yourself to something
special. Equally, if people are
putting too many demands on you,
don’t allow them to pressure you
into over-scheduling your life.
You need something to lift
your spirits. Treating yourself to a
luxury will feel good. Someone will
inform you how wasteful retail
therapy can be, but if you are
keeping track of your spending
and it makes you happy, surely it
can’t be as reckless as they are
making out?
I Everyone seems to admire
you and want your company. Trust
your instincts when someone asks
you out on a date. There is every
likelihood your first impressions
will be reliable. Social
arrangements made for
mid-August will give you
something to look forward to.
A friend or neighbour takes
it for granted that you will always
be available to help them out. This
upsets a loved one who feels you
are doing too much for others and
not enough for your family. An
older relative has your best
interests at heart when they offer
some good advice.
Remember there are only so
many hours in a day. If you can’t fit
new commitments into your busy
schedule, you need tell people ‘no’.
If you can’t make a move without a
partner wanting to know where
you are going, why and when will
you be back, it might be time to
call it a day.
A friend’s moodiness will
take some of the shine off a fun
social event. You need a break.
Meditation and long walks in the
countryside or by the sea are just
some ways to soothe your soul.
Think of arranging this soon or
obey an urge to retreat to a quiet
hideaway.
Despite a promise to
change, a partner is behaving as if
he or she doesn’t trust you. You
wonder if your partner’s
behaviour has something to do
with a past relationship never
spoken about. Reply promptly to a
message from a former colleague
or neighbour.
A colleague will try to evade
responsibilities out of sheer
laziness. He or she won’t think
twice about passing commitments
on to you. It’s important to stop
people from taking advantage of
your kindness so you may have to
put your foot down. It is time to
establish firm boundaries.
