POSITION
THE SKY
Use the Move tool to
drag the new sky into
position. If you need
to resize the layer,
press Cmd/Ctrl+T for
Transform mode, then
drag the corners of the
bounding box. While
transforming, you can
also right-click and select
Flip Horizontal to flip it.
Press Return to apply.

LIGHTEN
THE LAYER
The sky layer is slightly
too dark for the land
layer, so highlight it,
then click the Create
Adjustment Layer icon
in the Layers panel and
choose Curves. Drag up
on the curve line slightly
to lift the tones. Next,
highlight the top layer
and click the New Layer
icon in the Layers panel.
06
PAINT A
REFLECTION
Click the Blending Mode
dropdown at the top and
change the new layer
to Overlay. Hold Alt and
click on a color from the
sky, then paint over the
reflection on the water
to tint it slightly. Sample
and paint more colors
to complete the effect.
Reduce the layer opacity
slightly to tone it down.
