‘He wasn’t born with a silver spoon, he was born
with a silver platter!’ quips Gordon Ramsay about
his son Jack, who admits he grew up ‘in a bubble.’ This

experience the lives they would have lived had their
parents not been famous. Engaging viewing, and
an eye-opening reality check for the teens. ★★★★★ TL

Marieme and Ndeye’s
devoted father faces
an agonising decision
● REAL LIFE / 9pm / BBC2
NEW
This moving and
intimate film
tells the story of
conjoined twins Marieme and
Ndeye and the impossible
decision their parents and
doctors at Great Ormond
Street Hospital must make
about whether to separate
them. The two-year-old girls
are getting weaker and surgery
would almost certainly mean
the death of Marieme due to
her weak heart. It would also
be risky for Ndeye, but not
separating the girls means both
will probably die. The film
follows their dad Ibrahima,
utterly devoted to his girls, as
he battles with what to do.
How can he choose to put them
at risk? But if he doesn’t, and
they become too ill for surgery,
will that mean he loses both
of them? ★★★★^ JL
