T

he Leadership Treasure Discovery by PrePearl
(India Region representatives for Belbin UK), in
association with THE TEENAGER TODAY, held
the first-ever session in Chennai on 22 June 2019.
Ten young adults engaged in a day of interaction,
discovery and exploration. They came in from all
over Chennai and left as friends as they embark upon
realizing their potential, purpose and making a mark
in society.

Here’s what some of the participants have to say
about their experience:
“I’ve learnt that even the skills that I have make a huge
impact to society. A wonderful programme with a lot of
interactive sessions which boosts me up and encourages
me to explore more of myself and what I can contribute.
This is for sure an internal ability discovery programme.
Fun-filled as well as interactive.”
— Karen Bastian

“Woaah, everything we learned today was useful.
I’ve understood really more about myself.”
— S. Prerna

“The entire session was very useful. I feel very lucky
to have been part of such a session. Thank you.”
— Subhiksha Srikanth

“Bringing in the parents into the discovery
programme was very valuable.”
— Ansfred Shree

“It was quite a unique experience where I got
to interact with the other participants, enact role-
plays with them and embark on a discovery toward
realising our strengths. What I found most useful was
realising my purpose by writing it down finally. The
mock interview was very stimulating.”
— Joseph Xavier Roy

From the participants’ parents...
“It was a good opportunity for our child to evaluate
his perception about himself and also see the
perspective of others about him. It has helped us to
see both of them combined and most importantly has
helped our child and us to see the strengths, talents
he has been gifted with and to strengthen them
further to bear good fruits for himself and the society.

Though we do have parent-child discussions about
God’s purpose and talents that need to be identified
and put to work and use, this programme and the
discussion we had has helped our son to identify and
verbalise the same. This has been very satisfying.”
— F. J Sequiera

“The discussion was very useful. Probably this was
the first-ever planned and structured discussion. We
will continue to support in his development.”
— Joseph Peeris
