COLLECTOR'S FOCUS
FARMS AND BARNSartist Brian Clifford best describes his style as
“emotional realism.”
He explains, “I strive to create a space in
which the viewer can enter, occupy and be
comfortable. My paintings generally depict
real locations, but that doesn’t seem to matter.
People from all parts of the world identify with
my subjects according to a time and place
relevant only to themselves. When that occurs,
I have succeeded.”
Artist Matthew Sievers believes that the
most impactful art is appealing to more than
just the eye.
“I always encourage my collectors
to purchase art that stirs their emotions,
especially pieces that bring back memories
or inspire them to make new ones. Far more
important than matching the room is findingart that you connect with. Rural scenes of
farms and barns can be the perfect piece to
summon feelings of family pride, history and
honest labor,” he says. “I strive to recreate
these places through expressive brushwork on
a canvas, using color and lighting to bring a
piece to life. My goal is to rebuild those scenes
in a unique style where traditional meets
contemporary.”FEATURED
