Count the stars

The night skies have helped sailors chart their course for millennia, and with a trip to
London’s National Maritime Museum in the World Heritage site of Greenwich, you too
can set your sights on the stars. In a new gallery, you’ll find more than 100 winning
images from 10 years of the Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year
Exhibition. Some peer deep into the cosmos, such as a view of the spiral galaxy
NGC 3521, 26 million light years from Earth. Other photographs may inspire more
realistic travels, such as this stellar, autumn view of the Alpe di Siusi in Italy’s Dolomites,
taken by 15-year-old Fabian Dalpiaz, the winner of this year’s youth category.
Tickets from £9; until 5 May 2019; rmg.co.uk
