t STAGE TWO
Further washes were
added with a greater
range of colours. Acrylic
spray paints were added
to give further textural
and layered efects that
were important to this
expressive painting
p STAGE THREE
With all the initial washes and paint
applications dry I selected some
photocopied prints to add to the
painting. Generous amounts of
Amsterdam Photo Transfer Gel were
applied to the entire printed area
of the copy. I was careful to remove
any air pockets so that the image
transferred evenly to the paper as a
right-reading print. I used a printer’s
roller for this, being mindful not to
move it
p STAGE FOUR
After a full 24 hours the unwanted paper was removed with a damp
sponge and lukewarm water using gentle and regular rubbing to
reveal the print on the surface
u STAGE FIVE
With the irst print in place I began to
increase the colour and tones in the
painting to match the intensity, using
Royal Talens acrylic spray paints with
diferent spray caps to create diferent
efects
