accommodations is doubtful.Rent an 8-person dormitory
at ₹280 per bed. An eight-bed

Auli is appointed with
expensive chair lifts, a ski lift,
and a ropeway.
Chair Lift
Chairlift service connects
G.M.V.N. Auli Ski Resort to
the main ski slopes around
G.M.V.N. Nanda Devi Eco
Tourist Resort. A round trip
costs ₹500 per person. The
operator does not sell one-way
tickets.
Only 10 kg baggage is allowed
per passenger during 5-minute
ride covering six towers.
Handling big luggage in the
lift is difficult. When a chair
lift passes by a tower, it gives a
bumpy feeling, otherwise it is
a smooth ride.
A four-chair lift travels three
meters per second. Chair lifts
run on electricity. A dieselrun generator is used during
power cuts.
Chair lift operates between
09:00 am and 04:00 pm.
Ski Lift
A ski lift ticket costs ₹100 for
two rounds that means a skier
can ski down twice and come
up twice using the lift. A ski
lift carries skiers wearing skis
to the top of the ski slope from
where they can ski down.
Ropeway
The ropeway charges ₹1,000
per passenger for a round trip,
Joshimath – Tower 10 (Auli)- Joshimath. The operator
does not print one-way tickets.
The ticket clerk suggested two
passengers may use a round
ticket if they did not want to
return on the same day. If you
take ropeway from Auli, the
attendant collects cash and the
clerk in Joshimath issues the
ticket.
