Alberta, Canada. Ana has

Kris Grover is a mixed-media textile artist
specializing in torn paper collage paintings,
art journals, and abstract paintings. Her art
is vibrant and often whimsical, focusing on
nature-inspired subjects. Presently, Kris is
illustrating a children’s book about a goat
herder boy in Africa.

Jane Haworth is a

Linda Nelson
Johnson is a mixed-
media fi ber artist living in
central Iowa. She is a
retired design professor
from Arizona State
University and Washington State University
who enjoys dyeing her own fabrics and
developing new techniques. Her fi ber art has
been included in juried regional, national,
international, and traveling exhibits.

Susanne Miller Jones is an
internationally exhibited, award-winning fi ber
artist, curator, author, and teacher. Susanne
taught elementary school before embarking
on her second career as a fi ber artist. In
2015, she issued her fi rst fi ber art challenge,
“Fly Me to the Moon,” to honor the Apollo
astronauts, followed by another call, resulting
in the exhibition “HERstory: A Celebration
of Strong Women.” Susanne’s third exhibit,
“OURstory: Human Rights Stories in Fabric”
premiered at the International Quilt Festival,
Houston in November 2018. She is about
to embark on her third career, that of a tour
guide leading tours for fi ber artists all over
the globe.

Laurie Ceesay
Landree is an art quilter,
educator, hairdresser, and
pattern designer. Her
specialty is portrait quilts
of fashion-forward female
motifs. Her award-winning quilts have been
on display at national and regional quilt
shows and in national publications. She has
appeared on “Quilting Arts TV” and
“Treasured Quilts of Wisconsin” both on PBS.
Laurie lives in Michigan with her husband
and two cats.

Lea McComas is an
acclaimed fi ber artist,
teacher, and author. She is
the founder of the Border
Wall Quilt Project. Her
work has been exhibited
around the world and featured in numerous
publications. Lea shares the knowledge and
techniques behind her award-winning
pictorial quilts in her lectures, workshops,
online classes, and her book, Thread Painted
Portraits.

Brenda Rhinehart
began quilting just fi ve
years ago and it has
become such a passion she
recently created a
dedicated space in her
home. Th e studio is a dream space for her
mixed-media quilt art and machine
embroidery. Brenda and her husband reside

history of quilting, mixed-
media art making, writing,

Her current work is
inspired by her move to a Maryland
mountaintop and explores her love of nature

Pam Rocco has been
quilting for almost 50 years,
ever since she bought a
reprint of The Romance of
the Patchwork Quilt and
taught herself to quilt. She
specializes in ethnic, loud, and peculiar
fabrics, which somehow look good together.
Pam has exhibited quilts at the Pacifi c
International Quilt Festival and QuiltCon,
published articles in several national quilt
magazines, and was regular columnist for
Quilter's Newsletter.
