arose, I couldn’t think of

anything else other than

being on the show.

Did you go in with a

game plan? Yes, you’ve

got to. You can’t be too

nice or not nice enough,

you can’t be too good in

challenges, you can’t be

not good enough, you

can’t be too helpful...

All this stuff puts a target

on your back. So you’ve

got to try and sit in the

middle, so you’re not on

the bottom but you’re

not on the top.

Did that work for you?

No! I think my background

in footy and being in the

contenders tribe made

me stand out. I feel like

that’s what you don’t

want to do.

Did the experience live

up to your expectations?

Absolutely. It’s the hardest

thing I’ve done, but it’s

also the most incredible.

Would you do another

reality show if you get

the chance? I don’t think

so. I’m not really a fan of

reality TV.

Do you regret anything

you did on the show?

I wanted to entertain –

to play a character. There

might be a few casualties

along the way, but that’s

entertainment.

What’s tougher – scoring

campaigns with Ralph

Lauren or Survivor? It’s

a pretty close call! When

you’re shooting campaigns,

they treat you pretty

nice. But on Survivor,

everyone seems to treat

you pretty bad. It’s a tough

environment. It’s no luxury

five-star hotel out there!

What we built was pretty

crappy compared to the

hotels I spend time in.

Did you have a game

plan? I did, but it fell apart

early on. I wanted to line

up with other strong

players, which is easier

said than done. You realise

everyone there is playing

their own game. Getting

them to play yours takes

a lot of convincing.
