n the pursuit of neoliberal convictions, our education sector seems to retrograde into older I
dogmatism of exclusivity in providing access to quality education guaranteed by our constitution.
Similar to the ritual hierarchy espoused by Manusmruti to monopolize education in society, the Ta-
mil Nadu government as well as the central government has taken up measures to fulfil the interests
of private players in the education sector to construct a deprivation to access. In a strange turn of
