Er, guys, we think someone’s
left the iron on...a life in ink
LYNNtakes us inside one
of her favourite non-musical
passions: tattooing...
“It’s a very spur-of-the-moment
thing when I want to tattoo. It will
always be if the supplies are around
and it’s the right vibe to be doing
them, which I feel makes
them even more special.
“The first time that I
did a tattoo, it happened
pretty randomly. When
we were making the
second record, one of our
friends came up to the
studio for the weekend
and was crashing with
us. She’s always had a very exciting
energy to be around, and has always
encouraged me to try new things and
experiment creatively. She had tattoo
needles and ink with her, and she was
like, ‘You should try this – you should
try to stick-and-poke me.’ While I was
working on her she was like, ‘You’re
actually really good – you should
probably do this more!’ So I just kept
doing it and having fun with it.
“I have a full album of little designs
that I want to do on people once I have
some free time. I haven’t posted any of
them or anything, so nobody knows what
they’re like... but they’re pretty cool!”
