Sometimes, welcoming a band back
to the cover comes with a feeling of
relief. Such is the case with PVRIS
this week. As Lynn Gunn reveals,
there have been times since we last
saw them where she had doubts
about carrying on at all. But,
fortunately, she and her bandmates instead got to
work on one of the most anticipated albums of the
year. By now you’ll have already heard Death Of
Me, the first single from their third album, and you’ll
agree it’s an enticing teaser for what’s to come. As
Lynn explains, it’s been a hard road to get here, but
where the band have found themselves at the end
of that journey is a very exciting place indeed.
And as if that weren’t enough, this week we
hightailed it to Milton Keynes to get our faces burned
off by Rammstein, and spent a good deal of time
going down a thrash rabbit-hole after you voted for
the genre’s 25 best albums. Cheers for that, we’ve
got a bangover now.
Until next week – enjoy the issue!
