Step 2
Fold along the dotted lines to
create the casing, tucking in
the tabs and ensuring you’re
happy with the shape.
Step 3
Once you’re happy with the
structure, glue the tabs in
place inside the casing.
Step 1
Cut out all the elements from
the pull-out sheet over the
page. You might prefer to use
a craft knife rather than
scissors, particularly for
the window in the box. Cut
along the solid white lines
along the top of the shrine’s
outer casing (not the dotted
ones) to create the tabs that
will strengthen it.
Step 5
Stick in the two foliage side
pieces, using the tabs to place
them about halfway along the
depth of the casing.
Step 6
Use extras such as fascias
and flowers to personalise the
outside of your shrine, or add
more elements to the background
if you like.
Step 4
Choose a central element to
display in the shrine (bird,
heart or flowers) and stick it
to the inside of the casing
using foam sticky pads to add
some depth. (Or you could fold
a small piece of cardboard to
stick behind it instead.) If
you’d like to add extra elements
to the background behind the
object on display, stick them to
the background before you add
the main element.
