Dame Helen Mirren owned the red carpet at the UK premiere last

week of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, looking sensational

in a Lovebird midi dress by London label Eponine. Joining her was her

handsome co-star and newlywed Idris Elba, who clasped her hand at

one point as they chatted and laughed.

Stylish Oscar winner Helen, who turned 74 three days later,

accessorised with a pink clutch and heels, plus white and pink diamond

Feather earrings and a diamond ring from jeweller David Morris.

This is Dame Helen’s second outing in a Fast & Furious film. Her

first was in 2017’s The Fate of the Furious after she had “shamelessly

begged” producer Vin Diesel to cast her. In both she plays Queenie,

the mother of lead character Shaw, played by Jason Statham.

Idris, on the other hand, who plays tough-as-nails bad guy Brixton,

is new to the franchise and “super excited” to be included.
