Another thing that designers seem to have decided en masse to
reinvent this season was the classic plaid and other variants of
the check motif. Traditionally associated with school uniforms, the
Scottish kilt and men’s suits, the pattern came elaborately crafted
and textured at Thom Browne, multicoloured at Missoni and Gucci,
and deconstructed at Monse and MM6 Maison Margiela.
