BAG IT UP
30 Avenue Montaigne has been
synonymous with the house of Christian
Dior for over seven decades, ever since
Monsieur Dior himself fell in love with
the hôtel particulier with the “neat
proportions”. It was where he presented
his revolutionary first collection—
ushering in the New Look—and now
Maria Grazia Chiuri is paying tribute to
the heart of the house with the launch of
the 30 Montaigne bag, a ladylike flap bag
with beautiful, precise lines that comes
in sumptuous shades and skins.

SUNSHINE IN A

BUCKET
The popularity of the bucket bag
doesn’t seem to be waning anytime
soon but this season, designers have
refreshed the staple shape with
brilliant hues, distinctively designed
hardware, elevated and structured
construction, and luxuriously tactile
materials.

Beach Please
Dutch lingerie brand Love Stories has
returned with a second swimwear
collection for H&M, translating its cult
aesthetic of playful, flirty femininity into
retro-tinged bandeaus, bikinis and one-
piece suits as well as breezy cover-ups
in a palette that evokes sunsets at the
beach. Inspired by the languid glamour
of Slim Aarons photographs, the pieces
go from surf and swim to cocktail
parties by the pool.

Think Green
As our landfills and oceans become increasingly filled with waste, sustainability has become a top priority for many brands in the fashion
industry, which also happens to be one of the world’s biggest pollutors. To raise awareness further, Salvatore Ferragamo recently unveiled an
exhibition called Sustainable Thinking at its Museo Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence. The show presents the output of artists and designers
from all over the world who have chosen to work more mindfully with nature and its resources, with a creative approach to materials being the
common thread linking these works. Highlights include a Bethany Williams coat made of recycled yarns, cords and book waste and Andrea
Verdura boots made from recycled fishing nets, rubbers, cork and wood. The exhibition runs till March 2020 and to celebrate, the house has
also reissued five iconic shoes in organic and recycled materials.
