W
hen life gets busy,
it can feel like your
relationship becomes
less romantic and
more resourceful – you end up splitt ing
chores instead of sharing a meal.
Subaru wants to inspire you to not
only rediscover the joy of a weekend
trip away, but also rediscover your
partner in the process. They’ve come
up with a range of challenges for
New Zealand couples and Matilda
and Art Green took on The Date Box
Challenge. The pair are oft en pulled in
diff erent directions with their various
endeavours and with the imminent
arrival of Baby Green coming soon,
this was the perfect opportunity
NADIA + SUBARU
to reconnect before life gets even
crazier. The Date Box challenge
was designed as a mini adventure
dedicated to helping the couple
learn a whole range of new things
about each other – while creating
life-long memories in the process.
All of the activities are easy and
aff ordable for you to recreate at
home, they just involve time, the most
precious resource of all. It’s all about
slowing down and rediscovering who
you and your partner are when the
constraints of normal weekend life
fall away and when there’s plenty
of time, space and opportunity for
adventure. What could be a bett er
use of a weekend than that?
The first step
When it comes to picking a destination
for a weekend away, make sure you pick
somewhere that’s far enough away for you
to enjoy a good amount of road trippin’.
It can be a location that’s new to both of
you, or you could take it in turns showing
off a place that means a lot to you.
To add a personal touch to your time
on the road, each person can design a
playlist of their favourite tunes. This
weekend is all about finding time to
discover adventure on a weekend away.
