The storm system will move into the
Atlantic Ocean. Expect a humid day with
partly sunny skies. Overnight, the skies

and slightly cooler. The high on Friday will
be 83, and on Saturday it will be 81.Thunderstorms will affect the Great
Lakes, part of the Ohio and middle Mis-
sissippi Valleys and the Central Plains.
Storms may cause flash flooding, strong
gusts and small hail. Heat and humidity
will move north to New England ahead of
the storms.
Heavy, slow-moving storms will move
from the central Gulf Coast to the south-
ern Eastern Seaboard. Cooler, drier air is
expected to move into the upper Mid-
west, while hot air is expected over much
of the West.
A few storms will affect the interior
Southwest and parts of the northern
Rockies. Much of the West will be free of
precipitation.A few stray morning showers will occur
along the southern New England coast.
Most other beaches should be free of
rain. A blend of clouds and sunshine is
expected, with temperatures in the
mid-70s to mid-80s. Aside from showers
along the Jersey coast, expect partly
cloudy skies in the evening.
