Founded in 2013 by Jan Nauta, Studio Nauta
has completed a number of projects that
are conducive to modern life, paying close
attention to light, movement and function,
with the House in the Woods (pictured)
in Middelburg being a prime example. Old
and new buildings are neatly juxtaposed
within a forest setting, creating a seamless
relationship between inside and outside.

ATELIER TSUYOSHI TANE

Paris-based Japanese architect Tsuyoshi Tane

founded his eponymous atelier in 2017 and

his process of designing begins with an

intense research period. He excavates the

past to find traces of memory that inform

his designs, as evidenced in his House for

Oiso (pictured), which aims to capture the

essence of Japanese architecture through
