2 ) Repeat Step 1 to make one blue-floral-and-

white-print long side unit, one teal-floral-

and-white-print long side unit, and one

pink-print-and-yellow-floral long side unit.

3 ) Referring to Diagram 5, lay out six pink

print and six white floral 2^1 ⁄ 2 " squares

in two rows. Sew together pieces in

rows. Join rows to make short side unit.

The unit should be 4^1 ⁄ 2 × 121 ⁄ 2 " including

seam allowances.

4 ) Repeat Step 3 to make one blue-floral-and-

white-print short side unit, one teal-floral-

and-white-print short side unit, and one

pink-print-and-yellow-floral short side unit.

5 ) Referring to Quilt Assembly Diagram,

lay out blocks, long side units, and short

side units in four rows, matching colors of

blocks to side units. Sew together side units

and blocks to make sections. Sew sections

in pairs. Join pairs to complete quilt top.

Press seams open.

FINISH QUILT

1 ) Layer quilt top, batting, and backing; baste.

2 ) Quilt as desired. Designer Susan Ache

machine-quilted a design of swirls and

dots across the quilt top.

3 ) Using diagonal seams, sew together

assorted print, solid, and floral 2^1 ⁄ 2 "-wide

binding strips to make pieced binding

strip. Bind quilt with pieced binding strip.
