15 ) Referring to Diagram 10 and with all
pieces right side up, layer card pocket
and zipper pocket units atop remaining
fused blue print 4× 93 ∕ 4 " rectangle. Unzip
pocket so that zipper pull is in center of
zipper tape. Topstitch^1 ∕ 8 " around all edges
to make wallet interior unit. Trim zipper
tape even with unit. The unit should be
4 × 93 ∕ 4 " including seam allowances.
16 ) Layer interior and exterior units, right
sides together, with magnetic snap on
left-hand side and zipper pocket unit
on right-hand side (Diagram 11). Sew
along bottom edge.
17 ) Fold Step 16 unit, wrong sides together,
and press well to set Kraft-tex and zipper
tape. Open unit so it lies flat. Seam should
stay pressed toward wallet exterior.
18 ) Position snap closure on right side of
zipper pocket unit, 1^1 ∕ 2 " from top edge
(Diagram 12). Baste in place.
19 ) Layer Step 18 unit and fused blue stripe
71 ∕ 2 × 93 ∕ 4 " rectangle, right sides together
(Diagram 13). Sew along edges, leaving a
3" opening in one side and backstitching
at beginning and end of stitching.
20 ) Slowly turn wallet right side out through
opening. Gailen suggests being gentle yet
firm when manipulating the Kraft-tex and
zipper portions as they are stiffer than
fabric. Poke out corners and press. Fold
blue stripe lining into wallet; press again.
Topstitch^1 ∕ 8 " from both short ends,
sewing opening closed (Diagram 14).
Topstitch again for added strength to
complete wallet.
