(^08) PEAK DAWN BY JAY BIRMINGHAM
Jay tells us: “This image is of the Great
Ridge in the Peak District, between
the summits of Mam Tor and Lose Hill.
I travelled there because there was the
prospect of snow. Instead the landscape
was bathed in a wonderful golden glow at
sunrise. It was a relief to get a nice picture
after a bit of a journey, but also a relief to
get down afterwards to thaw out!”
Lens Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM
Exposure 1/6 sec, f/16, ISO100
(^09) BEYOND BY JAMES ALLEN STEWART
James says: “I planned a model shoot in
Southern Funen, Denmark. We found a
corn field and set up – it’s a great spot
once the sun sets to create some gorgeous
colours, the balloons were a bonus!”
Lens Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM
Exposure 1/250 sec, f/2.8, ISO400
(^10) NATURE’S SERENITY
BY JACQUIE MATECHUK
The colours in Jacquie’s shot are sublime,
with soft pinks and yellows bathing the
background as the sun sets. Her wide
composition adds context to the picture
and gives her focal point room to breathe.
She tells us: “I was on my way home from
the Canadian Rockies when I saw this
scene out of my driver’s side window,
so I had to stop to take one more photo.”
Lens Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM
Exposure 1/125 sec, f/5.6, ISO640
