Italian brand Riva is debuting the new
Dolcevita 110 at the 2018 Monaco Yacht
Show in late September. A new fibreglass
flagship, the Dolcevita was overseen
by Officina Italiana Design and, at 33.5m,
is one of the largest boats ever built
by Riva. That means classically clean

Demand for explorer yachts – capable
of long-range voyages – is on the rise as
owners and charter clients look to travel
ever further afield. Italian superyacht
builder Sanlorenzo has created the
500Exp, a 47m explorer with an integral
helipad and a range of 4,500 miles, as
its flagship model. The 500Exp is unique
in its configuration, managing to fit in
the landing pad without compromising
deck amenities, which include a fold-out
sea terrace. The first 500Exp has been
named Ocean Dreamwalker III and is set
for a life cruising the remote waterways
of the Far East. sanlorenzoyacht.com

Electric power is the next big thing in nautical circles.
Superyachts aren’t quite ready for completely
silent running (although a few hybrids have been
launched), but smaller vessels are harnessing the
technology. The Q30 is by Q Yachts, the company of
Finnish innovator Janne Kjellman. The pure electric
design uses Kjellman’s own Oceanvolt system,
freeing up hull space for a sleek, minimal cabin below
deck. Q30, price on request, q-yachts.com

Milanese penthouse, complete with
glass ceilings in the living rooms. While
Riva is best known for its exquisite
speedboats, its larger yachts upsize the
chic sporting lines to create desirable
ocean-going beauties. riva-yacht.com
