TEA PARTY DELIGHT
A project that I completed earlier this
year was for my granddaughter Emily’s
6th birthday. She loves playing with her
dolls and cuddly toys so I thought
that she would love a knitted tea
party set. I chose the tea set and
cute knitted cakes from Alan
Dart’s Chimps’ Tea Party pattern.
I customised the crockery by
incorporating a spotty design.
I also found another breakfast set
but didn’t have the brain power
to shrink the pattern, so again I
customised it with spots! When
Emily opened the present on
her birthday she was so excited
to see all the knitted tea-party
creations I had made.

Such ingenuity Suzie! We’re not
surprised Emily loved it.

BOOBY KNIT!
My husband asked me to make him a
blue-footed booby, which is a bird on the
Galápagos Islands. It’s quite unique!

What a merry-looking chap, Maggie!

POTTER MAGIC!
My daughter Sarah is a huge Harry Potter
fan and I decided to knit her a doll. This was
quite a tricky pattern but well worth the
time and eort when I saw my daughter’s
face after she unwrapped her present.
The pattern was from Etsy by designer
tricotdelphine. I thought I would share
my picture with your readers. I love your
magazine with its many patterns to choose
from and interesting articles to read. I run a
local knitting social each month, and always
take a copy of SK to show my ladies!
