Choose an
aperture
Switch to
aperture-priority mode.
Di al in an aperture of
f/ 5.6 as this will ensure
a blurred background.
Set ISO to 200 andthen
switch your camerato
its self-timer mode.This
wi ll prevent any camera
movement caused
when you press the
shutter button, reducing
th e risk of motion blur.
Fr ame up and focuson
your subject. Lock your
fo cus off into manualto
avoid it changing when
you take the shot.

Taketheshotandadjust
Takea shotandreviewit. If thebokeh isn’t
as blurred as you would like, you’ll need
to use a longer lens or a wider aperture. If it’s too
blurred, decrease your aperture and take another
shot until you’re happy with the results.
