Performance

TheAsusROGStrixX570-IGamingputina solideffortinour

benchmarks,withlittledifferentiatingit fromtheother

boardsontest,orevenlargerATXmodels.Thesystemscore

of289,887atstockspeedwasa littlelowcomparedwiththe

bestontest,withtheASRockX570PhantomGaming-ITX

TB3managing303,361,butit drew20Wmoreunderload.

WeshouldalsoaddthattheAsusBIOSwasmoreuptodate

andincludedvariousfixesandimprovements,includingan

AGESAupdate.Thiscertainlyseemedtohaveanimpacton

ourFarCry5 test,whereframeratesweremuchhigherat

stockspeedandwhenoverclocked.

Speakingofoverclocking,havingtinkeredaroundinthe

superbAsusEFI,wehittheusual4.3GHzwithourRyzen 9

3900X,butnomore,evenpushingthevcoreupto1.425V.

Thismatchesmostotherboardswe’vetested,butthe

CrosshairVIIIImpactdidmanage4.35GHzusingthesame

voltageandCPU.Audioperformancewasgood,butcouldn’t

matchtheImpacteither,witha dynamicrangeof107dBAand

noiselevelof-106dBA.Powerconsumptionwasonthe

money,exceptforanabnormallyhighoverclockedload

figure,whichwasa good30WhigherthananyotherX570

boardwe’vetested.
