This project uses the two-tone effect of blended stitches to add

texture and movement. Begin by checking on the key for how many

strands of each different coloured thread you will need for your

special blended stitches. Then thread your needle with the different-

coloured strands and stitch the cross stitches as normal. The blended

stitch will have its own symbol on the chart – there will be a separate

symbol to indicate if you need to stitch a shade on its own.
