Short-row shaping helps to
create a nice curve on the heel
of each sock. First you gradually
reduce the width of the heel
panel, then you widen it again
before joining to work in the
round once more. There are
other ways to create heels, but
this method is ideal for patterned
yarn, as there is minimal
disruption to the colours.
