Tomlinson and his fanbase – as the former
One Direction member geared himself to
release his debut solo album. However, the
British singer-songwriter has opted just
to follow his heart as he shows more than

British talent show The X Factor to form One
Direction in 2010. - The boy band has never technically split,
but is said to have been on an “indefinite
hiatus” since 2016. - “I’m aware that, to a certain degree, I’m
swimming against the tide,” Tomlinson
revealed to Apple Music, alluding to
expectations surrounding the new album. - He added: “I’ve had all this amazing success
with One Direction, I realized that I might as
well just follow my heart.” - The album’s first track, “Kill My Mind”,
is intended as a spectacular opener, with
Tomlinson opining that the song “definitely
evokes excitement.”
