As he truculently summarises
on the title track of Fuck It,
Nick Oliveri is an angry boy.

situations in the past, it’s a pugnacious energy
that so implacably fuels his Mondo Generator

date, it’s the punk and hardcore of the ’80s
that saturates much of the California trio’s
work. But Oliveri is a desert rat, and laidback
vibes are part of his DNA too. It may seem
like a dichotomy, but here the lazy groove
of Nowhere Man and limber swing of the
UHZRUNHG.\XVV'LHVĪRULJLQDOO\UHFRUGHGE\
Kyuss Lives! for Oliveri’s N.O. Hits At All
VHULHVRI(3VīVHUYHWRFRPSOHPHQWWKHVQRWW\
belligerence of S.V.E.T.L.A.N.A.S. and spit
and bile of It’s You I Don’t Believe rather than
contradict them. Most people mellow with

age, but in Mondo Generator, rock’s last true
bad boy shows no sign of calming down.
