How to stitch and make
a bespoke sampler
Use a pencil to plot out the letters and numbers
you need onto graph paper. Play around with the
positioning until the details are evenly spaced –
you may find that you need to leave more squares
between some letters and fewer between others.
When you are happy with what you’ve come up with,
it’s time to start stitching, taking care that the details
fit into the space on the sampler.
Stitching idea
Find a nice gift box to present your sampler in and
wrap with ivory tissue paper for a luxury touch.
