PRO SHOT
Robin
No bird says winter quite like the
colourful red-breasted robin. And
provided that you often stock up
your feeders with seeds, they’re
common enough to be seen in
your garden on a regular basis.

PRO ADVICE
ISO and shutter speeds
The higher you set your ISO value,
the more sensitive the camera will
be to light, but you’ll see more
digital noise in your images, too.
Use Aperture Priority mode and
adjust the ISO until you get a
shutter speed of around 1/100 sec
or faster, to stand a fighting chance
of eliminating camera shake; but
remember to keep the ISO value
as low as possible whenever you
can, so that you get the best
possible image quality. Get
